Tips for buying bargain real estate properties in Seatte

A lot of buyers think they can search real estate sites to find an incredible deal. What you really have to do is to setup a search so you get notified when such deals come up.  Neighborhood to neighborhood street by street home prices are different.  The best way to find bargain real estate in Seattle is to setup a search  by using the Seattle MLS real estate map, stay focused and learn your market.  In the Seattle market most realtors and sellers price their home by condition and sq footage.  When a good deal is posted on the MLS all the buyers in that area are notified. There will most likely be a lot of buyes in your same area and price range that have been looking for a home for a while.  The trick is to get there before they do and to be able to make a decision fast.  The most common mistake for buyers is not offering enough for the property.  If a property is worth $500,000 and it’s listed at $400,000 a lot of home buyers will still offer under asking price only to get outbid and loose the home. Where to find the best deals

you will find the best deal on bank owned home and fixers.  My least favorite by far are short sales.  If you put in an offer on a short sale be prepared to wait months to hear back from the bank and remember if you get your signed contract back from the seller it doesn’t mean much until its signed by the bank.  Also be prepared for the bank to counter back on your offer even if you offered to pay full price.
