King County Real Estate Listings
You can break up King county into 4 different areas.  North King, South King, East King, and or course Seattle. Each area will have their own feel and vibe.

North Seattle

Ballard – Wallingford – Fremont – Greenwood / Phinney Ridge
Home owners that want to be as close to the city as possible but don't want to live downtown. Most like shopping for organic food at PCC, Whole Foods and outdoor markets. Many Neighborhood markets, Restaurants, and bars. Single family homes start at around $350,000

Eastside

Redmond – Bellevue – Issaquah – Sammamish – Kirkland - Bothell
The Eastside consists of a lot of techies that want to be very close to work and don't want to battle traffic everyday. The Eastside has its share of strip malls and cookie cutter homes. Eastside homes usually have larger yards than Seattle although the prices for homes in most areas are about the same as Seattle. Single Family homes start at around $350,000

Carnation – Fall City – Duvall – North Bend – Woodinville
Home owners that work on the Eastside but want a larger yard or a less expensive home usually move to these areas. This is where you can find homes on larger lots. You won't find much shopping or to many restaurants to choose from. Watch out for purchasing a home in a flood zone. Much of Snoqualmie and the rest of the valley are prone to flooding. Single Family homes start at around $300,000.

South King

Auburn – Renton – Kent - Burien
South King has some of the most affordable homes. If you are on a tight budget but need a large home South King could be a good fit. Just pay attention to the airport flight paths when you see a home priced really low. Not a bad commute to Seattle if you are off of 1-5 but could be very long commute if you live off of 405. South King could be a good choice if you work for Boeing. The commute to Seattle and the Eastside will take anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour depending on the traffic. I've seen homes in these areas starting at around $150,000

Covington – Maple Valley
On the Eastern side of South King County you have Maple Valley & Covington. You will find a lot of newer homes and strip malls. Although a further commute than the other areas you can get a brand new home around 2000 sq feet for around $300,000.
